The Urban Unit, established in 2005 and later transformed into a government-owned private company in 2012, focuses on providing sustainable urban solutions through data-driven approaches. It offers policy advice and services in areas such as housing, urban planning, transport, waste management, and water and sanitation.
The Urban Unit is looking for the services of exceptionally sound and self-motivated professionals for the following project based positions:
Junior Urban Planner:
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform research studies including literature, policies and review existing documents.
Prepare, maintain and update data of relevant sector. - Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data related to urban development and planning.
- Use Geographical information systems (GIS) and other software for statistical and graphical analysis of data.
- Coordinate with Divisional and District level institutions/entities for collection of data and consultation.
- Support management team in conducting workshops at various districts as required.
- Assist in preparing research proposals, work plan, deliverables in timely professional manner.
- Assist in formulation of existing and future scenarios of Master Plan/Land Use Plan.
- Assist and coordinate with the task lead to carry out the relevant task.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
