Hainan Medical University, located in Haikou, Hainan Province, is the only public medical school in the Hainan Free Trade Port. It originated from HaiQiang Medical Technology School (1947) and Hainan University Medical College (1948) and has trained over 70,000 medical professionals. The university offers 30 undergraduate majors and has achieved national recognition with 5 first-class undergraduate programs and several national specialties.
