Overview

Hebei University (HBU), established by French Jesuits in 1921, is a prominent institution located in Baoding, Hebei Province, China. Co-constructed by the Ministry of Education and the People’s Government of Hebei Province, HBU stands out for its comprehensive range of disciplines and strong international focus. The university is officially recognized as a Chinese Language Proficiency Test (HSK) center and holds qualifications for enrolling students through the Chinese Government Scholarship and the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. It has also been designated as a Chinese Language Education Base by the overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council. Situated strategically within an economic zone connecting Beijing and Tianjin, HBU offers modern facilities and an extensive academic environment.

Admission Requirements

Aged 18 years old before Jan. 1st of 2024. High school diploma with 60%+ marks. Chinese Teaching Program: HSK4 score 180+ English as native/official language, or IELTS 6.0+ / TOEFL 85+ for non-native speakers.

Double rooms: These are larger and often shared with another student, with shared bathrooms. Dorm-style rooms: These are typically shared with multiple students and have shared bathrooms. On-campus hostels typically offer the following facilities: 24-hour security Laundry facilities Common areas Kitchen facilities Wi-Fi International students are required to stay in the university dormitories during their first year. From the second year onward, they may apply to live off-campus, subject to the university’s management regulations.
