Shandong Second Medical University (SDSMU), under the Shandong provincial government, is a prominent medical university located in Weifang, the kite capital of the world. Its roots can be traced back to the LeDao School of Nursing and an American Presbyterian Hospital in the late 19th century. Established as Changwei Medical University in 1958, renamed Weifang Medical University in 1987, and later Shandong Second Medical University in 2023, SDSMU has evolved into a comprehensive institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and international programs.
